About This Casino

Paradise City stands on Yeongjong Island in Incheon, inside the business district built alongside Incheon International Airport, and the first thing worth saying is how short that journey is. The AREX monorail reaches the resort from the airport in three minutes. A free shuttle bus covers the same ground every fifteen minutes, from 05:10 until 23:10. A taxi takes about the same three minutes and costs roughly ₩5,000 to ₩7,000.

That proximity is why the resort turns up in so many itineraries that were never planned around it. A long connection becomes an afternoon. A late landing becomes a first night without the ride into Seoul. Travellers leaving early check in the evening before and walk to the terminal in the morning.

What the resort actually is

Calling it a casino undersells the building. It opened in 2017 and holds a hotel, a spa, an indoor theme park, an art collection, a shopping arcade and several restaurants, with the gaming floor as one part of a larger site rather than the whole of it. Among the restaurants are The Emperor, Bar 21 and Café 9, with Italian, Cantonese and Japanese kitchens alongside.

CIMER is the spa, and it is a destination in its own right rather than a hotel amenity — indoor and outdoor bathing, with the outdoor sections open into the cold months, which is when Korean bathing culture makes the most sense to someone trying it for the first time. WONDERBOX is the indoor theme park, brightly staged and built for families and evening visitors alike.

This matters for the way groups travel. Not everyone in a party wants the same evening, and this is one of the few places in Korea where a family can split up for a few hours and meet again in the same building.

On the floor

The gaming floor is the largest of its kind in the country, and what that translates to in practice is room — room between the tables, room to stand and watch without being in anyone's way, and room for the floor to absorb the arrival of several flights at once without feeling pressed. Visitors who have been to the older venues in central Seoul notice it immediately.

The table games are the ones you would expect at an international venue, with baccarat, blackjack and roulette among them, and the electronic gaming arranged along its own sections. VIP rooms and a separate Sky Casino are part of the floor as well.

Dealers and floor staff work across the languages the airport brings through, and the signage follows. For a first-time visitor that is what decides whether the evening is comfortable, and it is the reason the resort reads as approachable in a way a first casino visit often does not.

It runs twenty-four hours a day, three hundred and sixty-five days a year. For travellers on irregular schedules that continuity is the practical reason the building gets used at hours when little else nearby is open. The atmosphere shifts with the flight board — quiet and unhurried in the morning, filling in the early evening as arrivals land and guests come down from the hotel, and settling after midnight into the steady rhythm of a place that never actually closes.

A Sky Casino operates as its own space within the floor, alongside the VIP rooms, and there is a lounge attached to it. Between that, the restaurants and the hotel above, it is possible to spend an evening here without going outside once — which, for anyone who has landed at midnight with a morning connection, is the entire point.

A few practical things sit in the same building and save a separate errand: there is a currency exchange on site, worth knowing before you change money at the airport counters out of habit, and ATMs and self-service kiosks are on the floor itself rather than back in the terminal. Parking is available for anyone driving over from the mainland, and with the hotel directly above, an overnight stay needs no second journey.

The coupon

Foreign visitors arriving through koreacasinocoupon can claim a welcome coupon of a ₩30,000 betting coupon and a ₩20,000 slot coupon, valid through the end of 2026. It is claimed at the venue and is separate from anything the hotel or the resort's own membership offers, so it is worth arranging before you arrive rather than assuming it will be handled at check-in.

Entry conditions

Entry is limited to foreign passport holders aged 19 and over, and Korean nationals are not admitted. The same national rule applies at every foreigner-only venue in the country, so what you meet here is what you will meet in Seoul and Busan.

The physical passport is checked at the security point. Scans and screenshots do not substitute for it, and neither does a Korean identification card. There is one situation particular to this location: travellers who have checked bags through to a connecting flight sometimes arrive with the passport as the only document still on them, which for once is exactly the right one to have kept.

Large travel bags go to the cloakroom rather than onto the floor, and professional cameras and recording equipment are stored there too. That comes up more often here than at most venues, simply because so many visitors arrive straight from arrivals. Dress is smart-casual.

The rest of Yeongjong Island

The island is larger than most visitors realise, and the resort sits at one end of it rather than filling it.

Eurwangni Beach is fifteen minutes away by taxi, on the western shore. It is a working local beach rather than a resort strip — restaurants and guesthouses behind the sand, families in summer, and a west-facing view that makes it one of the more reliable places near Seoul to watch the sun go down over water.

The Yeongjong Seaside Rail Bike is a similar distance, fifteen minutes by taxi, and runs along the coast. It is the kind of thing that sounds like a diversion until you are on it, and it suits travelling groups of mixed ages better than most options on the island — nobody has to be fit, and nobody has to wait around.

There is also a BMW Driving Center ten minutes away for travellers with a specific interest in that sort of thing.

Closer still, Incheon Airport Duty Free is five minutes by shuttle. For a layover that is the pairing most people end up making: an hour at the resort, an hour at the shops, and back to the gate with time in hand.

If you have a few hours rather than a day, the honest advice is to stay inside the resort: the hotel, the spa, the theme park, the art and the restaurants are under one roof, and you are three minutes from the terminal when it is time to go. That last calculation is what brought most people here in the first place, and it is usually what brings them back.

Honestly I was a bit nervous because it was my first time at a Korean casino, but Paradise City Casino Incheon really surprised me. Staff handled service in 4 languages so as a foreigner I felt right at home. With 180 tables there was always room even at peak times, and many seats were beginner-friendly so first-timers could enjoy themselves comfortably. The atmosphere felt much warmer than US chain casinos. Definitely coming back next trip to Korea.

We stopped by Paradise City Casino Incheon during a family trip. The non-gaming spaces around the floor are unexpectedly family-friendly — restaurants, comfortable seating, clean facilities. Felt safe throughout.

As someone who travels specifically for premium gaming experiences, Paradise City Casino Incheon was genuinely satisfying. The interior is refined without being gaudy, and staff anticipate needs before you ask — those details matter. The VIP treatment is real, not a marketing badge. The modern gaming facilities add real value so it becomes a destination rather than just a casino visit. Holds its own against top-tier resorts in Macau and Singapore.
